Wilson SHIEH 石家豪
BIOGRAPHY 1970 Born in Hong Kong 1994 Bachelor of Arts, Fine Arts major, The Chinese University of Hong Kong 2001 Master of Fine Arts, The Chinese University of Hong Kong Currently lives and works in Hong Kong Wilson SHIEH (b.1970, Hong Kong), graduated in BA from and MFA degree from Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in fine arts major in 1994 and 2001 respectively. He started his artistic practice in Chinese fine-brush (gongbi) technique, works on various media ranging from Chinese ink painting on silk, acrylic on canvas to paper cutout collage. He focuses on human bodies as major theme for narration. Transforming figuration by means of tailor-made costumes, the identity of modern people is always in query in his art world. Participated exhibitions include solo exhibition “Rewind – A Memoir in Music from the Childhood and Teenage of Wilson Shieh” (7 Mallory Street, Hong Kong, 2021), “Architecture Costume” (Hong Kong Arts Centre, Hong Kong, 2018), “Hi! SHIEH currently lives and works in Hong Kong.
