Stanley SHUM 沈軍翰


​BIOGRAPHY
Born in Hong Kong

Bachelor of Fine Arts, The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Currently lives and works in Hong Kong.

Stanley SHUM Kwan Hon was born in 1989, Hong Kong, he graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013.  With an emphasis in western painting, his expressive portraits and imaginary scene represent the psychological portrayals of contemporary people, revealing the emergence of social and personal disorder in a display of  nervous tension, vacancy, perturbation and trance. Participated exhibitions include solo exhibition “The Blazing World” (Gallery EXIT, Hong Kong, 2020), “The Dark Scene” (Compton Art Gallery, Hong Kong, 2015). Group exhibitions include “Shining Moment” (Tang Art Foundation, Hong Kong, 2021), “Tongueless” (Goethe-Institut Hong Kong, 2020), “Hidden Body” (AISHONANZUKA, Hong Kong, 2017). He has been awarded numerous scholarship and awards, including Best Student from Each Concentration Award -Visual Arts (HKBU), Cheung’s Fine Arts Award (Western Painting), Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarship, The Cheng Foundation Scholarship, and CUHK Convocation Outstanding Creativity Student Award.  His works are prized by private collectors.  SHUM currently lives and works in Hong Kong.
